I have never lifted a barbell. Will I be out of my depth?
No. Roughly half the people training here had never touched a bar before their first block. Your first two sessions are mostly learning positions with light loads, and nothing gets added until the movement looks repeatable.
I have a dodgy knee and an old shoulder. Can I still train?
Usually yes, with adjustments. Bring any guidance you have from a physio or clinician and we will work inside it — swapping movement patterns, changing range, or loading differently. If something needs clinical input first, I will say so rather than guess.
What happens if I have to cancel a session?
Let me know at least twelve hours ahead and we will move it to another slot in the same week where one exists. Group blocks include two catch-up credits so an unavoidable week does not cost you the block.
Do I need my own kit or gym membership?
Not for studio sessions — bars, dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, mats and chalk are all here. Bring trainers you can stand flat in, something you can move in, and a water bottle. Remote plans are written around whatever equipment you actually have.
How quickly will I notice a difference?
Technique and confidence usually shift within two or three weeks. Strength on the main lifts tends to show across a full six-week block. I would rather set that expectation than promise a transformation on a schedule nobody can guarantee.
Can I train with a partner or a friend?
Yes. Pairs work well in the one-to-one slots and cost less per person than two separate sessions. If you want a group of three or four from the same workplace or family, that can be set up as its own block.
